Traffic police have started removing digital number plates in Kanchanpur district from Sunday.
According to Police Inspector Siddha Raj Neupane, 60 motorcycles having digital number plates were impounded on Sunday.
The plates of those vehicles will be painted within 24 hours, Neupane said.
Police started seizing motorcycles as part of their crackdown on digital plated-vehicles.
According to Traffic Police Office, action will be taken against those vehicle vehicles flouting the transport management rule and hesitate to change digital number plates.
According to statistics, there are 3,000 motorcycles with digital number plates in the district. Neupane said digital number plates will be changed within a month.
