New Bears Numberplates To Be Released

Bears fans can now add one more item to their arsenals: a vanity license plate.

Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White will unveil the new Chicago Bears permanent Illinois license plate this afternoon in Chicago.

Chicago Bears Hall of Famer Richard Dent and executives from the franchise are expected to attend.

Officials say $25 from each license plate will go to an education fund for Illinois public schools.

The Bears are the third professional sports team to offer the vanity Illinois plates. The Cubs and Blackhawks preceded them.
