Since the release of Roughrider personalized number plates in Saskatchewan three months ago, SGI has already received more than 12,000 orders from fans.
Lloydminster MLA and minister responsible for SGI said he is pleased the plates caught on so quickly.
“Rider pride truly does live here and once again the Rider nation had proven that the Saskatchewan Roughriders have the world’s greatest fans,” said McMillan.
With the profits donated to the Saskatchewan Roughrider organization, McMillan said he is confident the plates will be the perfect opportunity for fans to support to their club, while getting a chance to show off their pride of the team.
“These license plates not only give fans another opportunity to show their Rider pride, but also to support their team financially,” he said.
Saskatchewan Roughrider president and CEO, Jim Hopson said he believes the efforts like this by SGI and Saskatchewan fans is a big reason the team succeeds.
“I would like to thank SGI and the fans across the province for embracing this initiative and showing their Rider Pride throughout Saskatchewan,” he said.
