Custom motorcycle builders and riders can take to the open road without looking over their shoulders for the law in the state of Florida again.
It has been reported the state’s Governor signed an amendment reversing the prior ban on all vertical number plates. The law not only applied to the motorcycles on the road, but those parked as well.
What further outraged motorcycle enthusiasts was the fine for this infringement, with the initial offense almost double that of someone driving at twice the posted speed limit or speeding through a school zone.
The signing of the amendment by Governor Charlie Crist is certainly considered a relief to those who build and ride custom motorcycles, whose design is always about adhering to highway standards first and foremost.
