£283,550 was raised at the last personalised number plate auction in the most profitable registration number plate auction ever held in the Jersey.
58 number plates were sold at the auction which was held in the Great Hall at Highlands College.
One anonymous bidder spent £50,000 on J008 and £55,000 on J009 – the second-most expensive plate in Jersey, short of the £71,000 paid for JSY1 at an auction held in 2013.
In 2015, personalised number plate 007 sold at a Guernsey auction for £240,000.
