Irelands haulage operators considering buying a new truck next year, should note that a new registration system could be coming into play.
It has been reported that from January the designation ’131′ will take the place of the ’13′ plate. In July next year, there will be a second plate change introduced. It will be designated ’132′.
The motor industry has been lobbying for the introduction of a bi-annual number plate system to provide stability for the trade and protect jobs.
The new number plate system should ease fears about a ’13′ number plate damaging new vehicle sales next year.
With every new relese however there are opportunities. The ’13’ can make a letter ‘B’ creating hundreds of words and names.
