Over the next 10 days, the Mizzou Alumni Association is gauging public interest in obtaining an MU-themed license plate option for the state of Texas.
Should it receive a positive response, the plate will travel to Texas legislature, which will decide whether the plate becomes available. If approved, it will become available in the fall.
“Texas is home to one of the largest Mizzou alumni populations outside of Missouri, and our Texas-based Tigers are known for being among the proudest and most supportive anywhere,” said Jayson Meyer, director of alumni relations and staff liaison to Texas alumni chapters, in a news release. “The Mizzou license plates being offered in Texas will provide a great opportunity for alumni to show off their Tiger pride to the whole Lone Star State.”
