Beginning this month, a Pet Friendly license plate will be available for purchase, with portions of every purchase benefiting Spay-Neuter Services of Indiana (SNSI) programs.
The money received from license plate sales will help fund the Spay-Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP).
SNAP subsidizes spay/neuter surgeries for low-income Indiana residents. In addition, proceeds will be used to pay for spay/neuter surgeries for other animal welfare organizations in Indiana.
The Pet Friendly plate costs $40, with $25 going directly to the SNAP fund.
“We are giddy with excitement about the release of the Pet Friendly license plate. It’s a great way to show off your love for dogs and cats, as well as curb Indiana’s pet overpopulation,” said SNSI President, Juli Erhart-Graves.
Miranda Knight, public relations coordinator for the Vanderburgh Humane Society, applauds the new Pet Friendly license plate.
