A Queensland number plate owner hopes his new plates will be his meal ticket after finding the bargain of a lifetime.
The Gordonvale man was shocked to discover no one in Queensland had registered “CA1RNS” as a numberplate, and quickly snapped it up.
Admittedly the “I” in Cairns is in fact the numeral for one, but with the plates’ font it visually spells out the indisputable jewel of the Far North’s name.
“The plates would be much more valuable than my car,” Mr Hitchings said.
He is accepting offers of more than $10,000 and will assist with the reg transfer to the new owner.
