The Celebrate Children Foundation today unveiled the new design of the special license plate that bears its name and announced the start of a fundraising campaign that will give a lucky winner use of a car to put them on.
“Give from Your Heart to Get a Soul”
The new plate, which went on sale Monday, features the foundation’s familiar Kindred Spirit logo against a gold star. The gold star is the new element of the license plate design and represents the excellence every child can achieve with the right start through early education. The plates are available for an issuance fee of $15 and an annual donation of $25 that goes directly to the foundation and its efforts to foster vibrant and engaging early learning programs across the state. The original Celebrate Children license plates have been seen on Wisconsin roadways since 1999.
The foundation also announced the launch of its “Give from Your Heart to Get a Soul” campaign. The campaign, which begins today, gives supporters of the foundation the chance to win the use of a KIA Soul from Russ Darrow KIA for three years. For each $20 donation to the foundation, donors qualify for one chance in a drawing next March for use of the car. The foundation hopes to raise $30,000 during the campaign, all of which will help fund its efforts to promote early education, including investment in the new statewide YoungStar quality improvement initiative.
“The Celebrate Children Foundation is delighted to unveil a new license plate design that continues to carry our mission and message of celebrating every child across Wisconsin,” said James L. Leonhart, executive vice president of the foundation. “We’re also excited to start the ‘Give from Your Heart to Get a Soul’ campaign. It complements the launch of our new license plate design and provides both new and current supporters of the foundation the chance to make a real difference in the state’s future while participating in a drawing for a truly unique prize—a brand new KIA Soul. We’re very grateful to the Russ Darrow Group for its support of the foundation through this campaign.”
