"Excellent service and fast delivery"A POLICEMAN has appealed against a decision to ban 1BUM as a personalised numberplate for his new $20,000 motorbike.
Tony Pedersen, 44, said the Motor Vehicle Registry told him that the rego plate was “obscene”.
The senior constable has sent the public servant who made the decision the definition of “bum” from the Oxford English Dictionary and asked him to change his mind.
Mr Pedersen said he wanted 1BUM because that’s all his single-seat 1000cc Suzuki GSXR will hold – one bum.
He said the numberplate 2BUM had been approved in the Territory – and wondered what was the difference between one bum and two.
