(Indianapolis) — The state is giving auto dealers an easier way to get temporary number plates into the hands of Hoosiers.
Indiana Secretary of State Todd Rokita says a change is being made to allow dealerships to instantly print off temporary number plates instead of making them order the tags in bulk.
Rokita says the new tags will also include the make and model of the vehicle in addition to its VIN number as a way to boost security.
