ABU DHABI — Number plate 6 of category 6 will be among the top distinguished numbers to go under the hammer at the next private vehicle registration number plates auction to be held in the Emirates Palace today.
The organisers, Abu Dhabi Police and Emirates Auctions, expect more rare plates to enter the Guinness Book of World Records and to break new records in terms of sale value.
Colonel Ali Al Shamsi, Director of Privatisation and Resources Development, Abu Dhabi Police, said some 75 number plates of single, double, triple, quadruple and quintuple figures will be offered for bidding. At the top of the list, he added, are numbers 16, 70, 99, 900, 990, 117, 9999 and 77777.
