The “Pacific Wonderland” number plate created to celebrate Oregon’s 150th birthday is popular.
In the first month of the number plate’s sale, the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) issued 2,557 in March, making the specialty number plate the second most popular one.
The Crate Lake number place was issued to 4,273 vehicles in its first month of sales.
The DMV will issue up to 40,000 of the Pacific Wonderland number plates, which are available at any DMV office. An application for the plate is also available at www.oregon.gov/ODOT/DMV/vehicle/pacific_wonderland.shtml. There is a one-time surcharge of $100 per set of plates paid at issuance, in addition to the $23 plate fee and regular registration fee.
