New red reflective decals that will be required on the license plates of young drivers to identify them as new to the road are expected to go on sale Monday, a report in the Daily Record said.
The decals are part of a law named after Morris County teenager Kyleigh D’Alessio, who died in a car accident when 16 years old. A pair will cost $4, and there will be no limit on how many decals you can purchase for multiple vehicles, according to the report. The law requires a driver with a Graduated Driver License to place the detachable decals on the front and back license plates or face a fine of $100, the report said.
