Colorado Gets Ski Country Cherished Numbers

Ski Country USA cherished number plates are now on the road in Colorado. The special Colorado skiing cherished number plates became available the first of the year. It features a skier blasting through powder and a boarder under a bluebird sky, in the middle of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. The cherished number plates aren’t specialized, but the series that was received in Routt County for Steamboat ended with the word, “WAX.”

People have been requesting a Colorado skiing cherished number plates for decades, according to Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA). The group finally organized signatures and a petition to the Department of Revenue to move forward with the ski plate. Nearly 5,000 signed and the bill rolled through the Colorado House and Senate. Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter signed Senate bill 161 which let the cherished number plates be ready to go Jan. 1 of this year.
