Snow-capped mountain vistas, open roads and the downtown streetscape are themes in the three designs being considered for the city of Bozeman’s new specialty license plate.
The Bozeman City Commission is slated to select the winning design during its regular meeting Monday night and motorists should be able to purchase the winning plates by July, according to a memo to commissioners.
The three plates in the running are:
*A blue snow-capped mountain scene with Bozeman’s motto, “The Most Livable Place” Designed by Ron Lambert.
*A depiction of downtown buildings set before the mountains. Designed by Mark Miller.
*A view of an open road winding through the mountains, with the words, “The Road Less Traveled.” Designed by Vinnie Urgo.
Eight license plate designs were submitted by artists. City and Emerson Cultural Center for the Arts staff narrowed the options to three.
