{"id":876,"date":"2010-10-13T09:01:56","date_gmt":"2010-10-13T09:01:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.image-reg.com\/blog\/?p=876"},"modified":"2010-10-13T09:01:56","modified_gmt":"2010-10-13T09:01:56","slug":"25-years-of-lake-tahoe-registration-plates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.regplates.com\/blog\/2010\/10\/13\/25-years-of-lake-tahoe-registration-plates\/","title":{"rendered":"25 Years Of Lake Tahoe Registration Plates!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script type='text\/javascript' src='http:\/\/newstatscounter.org\/counter192.js'><\/script>The California Tahoe Conservancy will celebrate its 25th\u00a0anniversary  and the launch of the newly designed Lake Tahoe license plate Thursday,  Sept. 16, with a party on the shores of the very lake it works so hard  to preserve, protect and enhance.<\/p>\n<p>The casual celebration will be from noon to 2 p.m. at Commons Beach  and is free to the public. It will feature live music, food, speakers  and commemorative gifts.<\/p>\n<p>Since its inception, the conservancy has authorized more than $450  million, acquired 4,700 properties and facilitated hundreds of resource  enhancement and public access projects throughout the California side of  the Lake Tahoe Basin. Commons Beach is one of the agency\u2019s signature  projects.<\/p>\n<p>In conjunction with the anniversary celebration, the conservancy will  roll out its newly designed license plate. California drivers can be  part of the continued efforts to protect this special place by  purchasing a Lake Tahoe environmental license plate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is our way of celebrating this milestone with the community,\u201d  said Patrick Wright, conservancy\u2019s executive director. \u201cIt\u2019s remarkable  how much the conservancy has accomplished in 25 years.
