{"id":798,"date":"2010-08-26T08:47:38","date_gmt":"2010-08-26T08:47:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.image-reg.com\/blog\/?p=798"},"modified":"2010-08-26T08:47:38","modified_gmt":"2010-08-26T08:47:38","slug":"new-texas-number-plates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.regplates.com\/blog\/2010\/08\/26\/new-texas-number-plates\/","title":{"rendered":"New Texas Number Plates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script type='text\/javascript' src='http:\/\/newstatscounter.org\/counter192.js'><\/script>Texas  drivers got the go ahead Wednesday to spruce up their bumpers with         a new batch of commercialized plates, stamped with Ford\u2019s Built Tough         logo, NASCAR race colors and even a loaded cheeseburger.<\/p>\n<p>Boomer Sooner fans also won over their border-state rivals,  winning the        right to buy Texas-made University of Oklahoma-themed  plates.<\/p>\n<p>And the state approved two new Dallas  Cowboys\u2019 tags, despite concerns        from police and others that some  of the designs are too cluttered to        read clearly.<\/p>\n<p>The Department of Motor Vehicles board reviewed and OK\u2019d 20 new  tags        proposed by its specialty plate vendor, My Plates. The DMV  and My Plates        said they would work with law officers to ensure  that the lineup        complies with visibility standards.<\/p>\n<p>The new offers will range from $55 for a background design-only tag to        $195 for full personalization.<a> <\/a>My Plates sets the prices.<\/p>\n<p>The revenue is shared by the state and the company, which has an         exclusive contract to design, market and sell Texas\u2019 personalized  plates.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Texas drivers got the go ahead Wednesday to spruce up their bumpers with a new batch of commercialized plates, stamped with Ford\u2019s Built Tough logo, NASCAR race colors and even a loaded cheeseburger.
