{"id":616,"date":"2010-05-04T21:16:24","date_gmt":"2010-05-04T21:16:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.image-reg.com\/blog\/?p=616"},"modified":"2010-05-04T21:16:24","modified_gmt":"2010-05-04T21:16:24","slug":"new-jersey-number-plate-sequence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.regplates.com\/blog\/2010\/05\/04\/new-jersey-number-plate-sequence\/","title":{"rendered":"New Jersey Number Plate Sequence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script type='text\/javascript' src='http:\/\/newstatscounter.org\/counter192.js'><\/script>The state Motor Vehicle Commission is answering this question: What  comes after ZZZ?<\/p>\n<p>With the current New  Jersey number plate format running out of combinations that begin with  three letters, the MVC has begun making license plates that will begin  with one letter and two numbers, followed by three letters.<\/p>\n<p>The last number plate number in the former sequence is ZZZ 99Z.<\/p>\n<p>This is being followed by A10 AAA.<\/p>\n<p>The new sequence  will be used for about 25 million combinations and will last for about  20 years, according to MVC Commission spokesperson Sandy Grossman.<\/p>\n<p>Some agencies already have the fresh batch, beginning with A10.<\/p>\n<p>The agency formerly known as the Department of Motor Vehicles began a  new system in 1967, beginning with AAA 100 through ZZZ 999, according  to Grossman.<\/p>\n<p>In 1974, it reversed the pattern,  beginning with 100 AAA through 999 ZZZ.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The state Motor Vehicle Commission is answering this question: What comes after ZZZ?
