It&#8217;s a new design to commemorate the centennial of  New Mexico&#8217;s statehood, coming up in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Quezada picked up one  for each of his family&#8217;s three vehicles, saying the old-fashioned  styling and the colors appeal to him.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It looks more New Mexico,  with the turquoise and the red zia,&#8221; Quezada said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LAS CRUCES &#8212; You&#8217;ve probably noticed them around town &#8212; eye-catching turquoise license plates are popping up on cars and trucks all over the state, including hundreds right here in Las Cruces.
