{"id":2564,"date":"2016-07-19T09:16:04","date_gmt":"2016-07-19T08:16:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.regplates.com\/blog\/?p=2564"},"modified":"2016-07-19T09:16:04","modified_gmt":"2016-07-19T08:16:04","slug":"dvla-number-plate-auction-20th-july-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.regplates.com\/blog\/2016\/07\/19\/dvla-number-plate-auction-20th-july-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"DVLA Number Plate Auction 20th July 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The latest DVLA personalised number plate auction kicks off tomorrow with 1500 previously un-issued registrations being offered for sale.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><span xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Included is the\u00a0number plate WC66 ENG which is a reference to England winning the World Cup\u00a0and has been released almost exactly 50 years since the day, in which West Germany was beaten 4-2 on the 22nd\u00a0of July, 1966.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><span xml:lang=\"EN-US\">It is being auctioned as lot 1,368<\/span>\u00a0<span xml:lang=\"EN-US\">and is likely to fetch a pretty penny during the three-day auction at the Morgan car manufacturer factory in<\/span>\u00a0<span xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Malvern.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><span xml:lang=\"EN-US\">\u201cWe wanted to commemorate England\u2019s World Cup win of 1966 in some way and then, after researching the possibilities, we discovered the\u00a0<\/span><span xml:lang=\"EN-US\">WC66 ENG<\/span><span xml:lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0new-style combination was available,&#8221; said Adam Griffiths of\u00a0<\/span><span xml:lang=\"EN-US\">DVLA\u00a0<\/span><span xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Personalised<\/span><span xml:lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0Registrations.<\/span><span xml:lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0&#8220;<\/span><span xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Hopefully, it will find its way to a fan.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><span xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Other private number plates will go under the hammer, including\u00a0<\/span><span xml:lang=\"EN-US\">NES<\/span><span xml:lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0511E, ART 115T,\u00a0<\/span><span xml:lang=\"EN-US\">DR12<\/span><span xml:lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0AKE and\u00a0<\/span><span xml:lang=\"EN-US\">FL11 OYD<\/span><span xml:lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0for anyone with the name Floyd or a fan of Pink Floyd.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><span xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Other names include GR11 ACE (\u00a3250), AD11 AMS (\u00a3400), KEN 11X (\u00a3300) and\u00a0<\/span><span xml:lang=\"EN-US\">LE11<\/span><span xml:lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0NON (\u00a3700).
