The new plates could help identify a vehicle even if it flees the scene after an accident as it will have a built in microchip tracking device.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"007 tracker style number plates\" src=\"http:\/\/www.regplates.com\/plates-number.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"134\" height=\"140\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The system will have a tracking device installed with retro-reflective number plates and radio frequency identification tags.<\/p>\n<p>Similar systems are already in use by insurance companies which are often linked to young driver policies.
