THE “Kelab Eksplorasi 7 Benua Malaysia” (KE7B) has collected a staggering RM2.7 million from the sale of 2,500 G1M (Gagasan 1Malaysia) vehicle registration number plates.<\/h2>\n

KE7B adviser Muhammad Muqharabbin Mokhtaruddin (Qobin) said the response had been good since the sale started in May last year.

\n“The public can still get the G1M vehicle registration number plates with a\u00a0 good discount from KE7B by dealing with us directly via our website www.platG1M.com,” he said to the New Straits Times recently.<\/p>\n

Parts of the proceeds\u00a0 would be going to selected non-governmental organisations\u00a0 and charities, but it will primarily fund KE7B’s future expedition and projects for climbing mountains around the world.<\/p>\n

Qobin, who is in the midst of his “Mountains of the Prophets’ Exploration” project, said he would continue\u00a0 by climbing the 2,280m high Mount Thursina in Egypt next February.<\/p>\n

“I just came back from Sri Lanka last week after our team\u00a0 climbed the 2,242m high Adam’s Peak at the Serendib mountains, which was the first destination on our list,” he said.<\/p>\n

The Adam’s Peak is revered as a holy site by Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims and Christians as it is said to be the site of the sacred foot print (1.8m) of either Siva, Buddha,\u00a0 or Adam (of the Muslim and Christian tradition).<\/p>\n

The “Mountains of the Prophets’ Exploration” organised by KE7B is being filmed as a documentary adventure with Qobin as host.<\/p>\n
