It was held at the RTA Auditorium and was attended by various denominations of the community.<\/p>\n<p>Abdul Kareem Nimaat,  the Director of Vehicle Licensing said that 115 number plates were sold  at the Auction, including plates for motorcycles. There was active  participation from as many as 67 bidders who witnessed the sale of the  event\u2019s most expensive number plate K \u2013 50. It fetched a handsome 1.5  million dirham.<\/p>\n<p>The plate I \u2013 26 was sold for 1.3 million dirham, the binary number G  \u2013 36 was exchanged for 1.14 million dirham, the three-digit plate K \u2013  999 was sold for 710 thousand dirham and the four-digit plate K \u2013 1111  was sold for 900 thousand dirham.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 72nd Distinguished Number Plates Auction recently organized by the Licensing Agency, Roads &amp; Transport Authority (RTA) was a largely popular event fetching over AED16.9m in proceeds.
